Cabinet extends an official list of offshore companies and offshore states in 2010. Currently scheduled to be considered at the next cabinet meeting, according to sources in the Cabinet. The list of offshore again hit Cyprus. Appropriate amendments will be incorporated in the disposal of the CMU

This week the Government intends to be classified as off-shore a number of states, including Europe - Cyprus and Liechtenstein, in Central America - Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama in South America - Uruguay and Chile, in South-East Asia - Brunei, Malaysia and the Philippines. The inclusion of these states to the list of offshore zones, means at least gain control over cash receipts from these countries.

"Europe" in the decree shall be supplemented by countries such as Cyprus and Liechtenstein. In Central America to the list will be charged to Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama.

Himself list will be supplemented with two new sections "South America" and "Southeast Asia", which will include, respectively, and Uruguay, as well as Brunei, Malaysia and the Philippines.

The purpose of the document - the strengthening of control over cross-border tax evasion. The plan envisages a series of instructions to improve tax administration - mainly STA and the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, State Customs Committee and other state agencies.
